Hi guys!

Here are some updates cos me and Denise were unable to brief you because of today's lesson:

1. CIP @ Silver Centre
Please remember that our class CIP @ Silver Centre will be held next Tues, 12 May (right after our long break) so please don't forget! Also, the songs will be decided and uploaded to the class email by me and Denise by tomorrow. Please listen to the songs and try your very best to learn them in advance :p Please go to class email to take a look at the final pre-planning of this CIP :)

2. Youth Day Funfair
For YDFF, I've asked Ms Chen and she said that the soft toy is considered as 1 item and we're allowed to sell as many designs as we like :) So on Tues, we'll have to decide:
- The no. of designs we want
- Which designs we want
- Who will be involved in making which design
I will be passing down a class list. Also, for each design that we will be doing, we'll have to include a picture of it in the order forms. The order form was already out 2 weeks ago, but the pictures aren't ready yet so let's jiayou :D The sushi roll, donut, yellow sushi are done already. Grace and Yingxin took the cookies and prawn sushi home to do respectively. Thanks :D (Check class email again for another message... Lol)

3. Class Relay System
Have you guys realised that I've always been SMSing you myself/it's me and Denise who does it instead of using the class relay system? That's cos previously when we sent SMSes some people at the end of the line e.g. Jia Hui did not receive any SMS... there's some communication prob I guess :) I will be sending a test message really soon so please take note :) Please forward the SMS to who you're supposed to forward to! We need everyone's help in this :D (*evil eyes* if I found out that you didn't forward the sms, you'll have to buy sweets for the WHOLE class. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA) -.-

4. Locking of class door
Ever since the incident, I think that we should be more responsible for our own belongings when we're out of class. Although I've noticed that other monitors don't lock their classes up, but I felt that I should still do that cos I believe that it's safer this way. So last person who leaves the class (when we go for lessons) please close the door :) I will ensure the door is locked before leaving.

Lastly, we all know that there is a flu/fever bug passing around in our class... :/ Ms Goh wants me to tell you guys to take care of yourselves :) Belle, Shaian, Xin'er and Grace, tc and get well soon!

I think that should be all. THANK YOU for making the effort to come online and check the blog and spending time reading it and sorry for being so naggy and draggy. 1. Mass Replacement of School Smart Cards

Date: 2 April 2009, Thursday
Please top up the minimal card value before you come to school on 2 April.
For more information, you can refer to the notice board in class or LMS.
Remember to bring your cards!

2. Youth Day Funfair

Date: 3 July 2009, Friday
Theme: Arts Infinity (in line with the Arts Festival theme)

3. Class Tee
I'm sorry that the Class Tee has been dragging for so long. Janessa suggested that we should get it printed before the CSM. I will be speaking to the designers separately since the designs need to be edited and it's the 'Block Test period'. I will get back to you guys asap.

Oh, and don't be too upset about what happened during SIL session last week :D It's just a reminder :) Just take note of our voice level and remind your friends around you if you find that they're too loud! d: 'Cos some people (like me) may be talking too loudly without realising it d:

Er i would like to inform you all about the upcoming events:
1)NAPFA test
2) Combined Sports Meet

1) NAPFA test

Please be reminded that students who are on long term MC(more than 6 months) must produce a doctor's letter(starting clearly 'exempted from NAPFA') to their respective pe teachers before their first test dates. And please inform me ASAP!

Those on short term MC(less than 6 months) must produce a doctor's letter or parents letter. And please inform me(again=.=). These students are also required to retake their NAPFA tests in 7 and 9 July.

Students who cannot make it on the test date, with valid reasons(eg. 3rd lang/HMP/AEP/competitions) must come to me and then choose another date to take your NAPFA.

Failure to pass any of the 6 items will lead to a holiday fitness programme(=.=) and a restest on 7 and 9 July.

Date: 5 items: 22 May(Fri), 3.45pm
2.4km run: 14 May, during pe lesson

On that day i will tell you all your stations! Put here very mah fan=.=

I'll put up the list of heats thing on the class notice board :D

Attire: Pe tshirt/CCA tshirt/lifeskills camp shirt/class t-shirt,running shoes. Must tuck in!
eh i'll tell you the rest of the information after we decide who's gonna participate in what!

The compulsory events are: 100m,800m,1500m,long jump,javelin,4x100m
For these events, Minimum have to send out 1 participant, maximum 2.
You are also required to submit your personal best timing for the event that you are participating in.

2-4 student officials are required

you'll get some points thing if u get a placing!

So far, Dorcas is willing to participate in the discus and the javelin event! :D:D:D

A few things to take note:

1. PTM on 27 March, 2009
If your parents want to meet the form teachers, please select a time slot. (Check class email: nygh310@gmail.com for more details! The password has already been emailed to everyone previously.) Even if your parents would not like to meet the teachers, a NIL reply is required. Please check the email in the 'Draft' folder. Please have a look at it by Wednesday, 18 March 2009. Thank you!

2. Class Tee
Just a short update on the class tee colour, the re-voted colour was still yellow. If you have any comments on this or if you would like to have a look at the voting list, feel free to come to me :)

3. Seating arrangement plan this month
I have asked Li Lao Shi about it, and she decided that we would be changing seats again. More updates will be provided at a later date, as I am still unsure of the details :p sorry.

4. Math Remedial @ Library
The Math lesson on Wednesday would be held at the 'Math' room, which is currently known as the 'Media-viewing room' :)

Math Lessons during March Holidays

Hello 310! It's the March Holidays now :D

I have called Mr. Ng to confirm the timing for the math lessons on both days.

Date: 16/03 (Monday) and 18/03 (Wednesday)
Time: 1 pm - 3 pm
Venue: Library Math Room (3rd level)

Also, Mr. Ng wants to remind us to check our email account (ACE-LEARNING) to download the math papers. It's not compulsory though :)

Hi guys!

1. OBS Particulars
Thanks everyone for filling in your particulars before leaving the class :) For those who have checked their passport expiry date, please SMS me (don't call) before 9.00 pm. Otherwise, I'll call you in the middle of the night and disrupt your beauty sleep :) This is because Li Lao Shi wants it by tonight, I hope you guys can understand :)

2. Geography Assignment
There is still a whole stack of geography assignments and maps uncollected. I will place them in Mr. Lim's pigeon hole. If you did not collect, please come to school during the weekend to collect.

3. Chinese reading material
Currently, we are short of 3 copies of it. Maybe teacher already took out the ones for Yi Yuan, Mun Ning and Sara. But there are still some uncollected copies in class. I will be placing it near the windows on the side table. For those of you who didn't collect, please come and collect over the weekend. I think its material for us to read during the march hols.

4. Reporting in School on Monday
We should be reporting in school by 7.10 am sharp. Our attire should be OBS Tee, track pants and covered shoes.

5. Assignments due on Monday
There are 3 assignments due on monday, namely:

Updates!

1. PCCG Lesson tomorrow
The PCCG Lesson tmr would be held in the auditorium. Please head there right after assembly, since PCCG is the first lesson :) There would be a panel of Secondary 4 students present, answering our questions regarding the problems that we would face in Sec 3 and OBS. Feel free to raise any questions during the talk! :D

2. Block Test timetable
Hui Zhen will be helping us to scan and I'll forward to everyone. (Thanks Hui Zhen!) However, it will not be done tonight as I forgot to remind Hui Zhen to bring the timetable back :p So sorry... You'll get it by tomorrow okay :D

3. Class Tee
As for the Class tee, I understand that there's a group of people who is unwilling to have yellow as our class tee colour as it'll make us look like bananas (?). I will be discussing with Denise further to see what to do next :) Feel free to tell me if you have opinions, I'm very friendly :D Anyway, for your reference, these are the results of the voting that day (for colour):

I understand that those people who signed on the 'petition' don't violently object to having yellow, but just don't want yellow as the class tee colour. However, I hope that in the future, don't be afraid to raise any opinions during the actual discussion (just like Belle and Janessa) :) Don't be scared :p

*Note: Some people may still prefer dry-fit over cotton, but do take note that from past experiences, designs don't look too good on dry-fit :) And it'll be more expensive this way. Just a point to consider :)

4. Fire Drill
I Hope that all of you are aware that there's going to be a firedrill happening soon, though I do not know the actual date and time, sorry. Let's all be prepared! :D When the bell rings, please walk fast and let's be the first class to reach there! Whoo! :D

5. OBS Tee
We are to collect our OBS Tees tmr during lunch from the hall. OBS rep, please take note! Remind them if possible :D Thank you!

2. Girl Guides using our classroom tomorrow, 24 February 2009
The Girl Guides would be using our classroom for their activities from 3.00 pm onwards, so please be prepared to clear before they come in :) If you have any difficulties in doing so, please call me :)

3. LD's Session Dialogue on 27 February
The monitors would be having a dialogue session on 27 February (coming friday) with the Level Directors. Below are a few questions for you to think about:

(a) Who do you think should be recognized ?
(b) What are the current platforms for recognition of students’ effort and work ?
(c) Whether there was adequate recognition for the students for their efforts and results - Are there enough platforms ? Have all been recognized ?
(d) What other platforms could be used to provide recognition for the students ?

If you have any comments/opinion with regards to the questions above, feel free to tell me and Denise and we'll mention it during the meeting. However, it is also alright if your opinion/comment is not regarding that topic :)

Hey all!

Yepyep I set up this blog quite a long time ago, but haven't had the chance to update it :p Anyway, I hope that we can keep the blog alive ._. We try blogging and see how's the effect ok :D If you guys think thats its troublesome then we'll just do without it :D

(Hopefully we have enough time :x)
